Our client is A Newly-formed Financial Institution.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the CFO will report to the CEO and have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities and risk management of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, treasury, financing and company secretarial work. In this role, you will need -
- To provide professional advice to the management committee on strategic business development including financial evaluation and reports.
- To take ownership over all accounting and finance matters of the group
- To ensure high standards of financial controls and reporting and its compliance to SFC’s Financial Resources Rules, corporate policies and procedures which must be continuously updated and compatible with current industry best practices
- To manage the production of the monthly financial and management accounts, company and consolidated accounts, providing value-added analysis of trading and operational performance, conducing variance analysis from budgets, monitoring cash flow, treasury activities.
- To carry out corporate finance and advisory role and provide advice on feasibility and financial impact of investments, alliances with strategic partners, mergers and acquisitions.
- To prepare documentation for companies such as incorporation, deregistration, change of corporate structure, preparing minutes or resolutions, arranging notarization and/or legalization, order certificates, etc both locally and in overseas.
- To perform annual corporate compliance works such as preparing and filing of Annual Return, renewing business registration license, and perform other statutory filings.
- Effective credit control and debt collection.
- Draft regulations, operational rules, procedures, including consultation and policy papers.
- Tax planning.
- Analyze customers’ business, background and financial statement for credit assessment and make recommendations to Risk Committee
- Perform reviews on existing and new clients’ acceptance, change of credit limit applications.
- Conduct financial and industry analysis, assess the underlying credit risks and provide recommendations to management.
- To manage all banking relationships including account opening and monitoring of our credit facilities.
- Responsible for the overall Human Resources Department and Administration Department of the Group.
- Undertake ad hoc projects, conduct test and implement software and hardware systems.
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting with HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualifications;
- At least 10 years practical experience in brokerage, futures, leasing and/or money lending business
- Familiar with SFC Financial Reporting Rules
- Strong analytical mind and communications skills;
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, well-organized and have strong sense of responsibility and work under pressure
